Within two weeks of opening its investment round on Eyevestor, Mega Windforce has comfortably passed the €1 million mark. That is more than two thirds of the €1.5 million target to take WhisperRing from a proven concept to a production-ready product. The funding consists of commitments from external investors as well as participation from within Mega Windforce, as previously announced. With less than €400,000 to go, the round is well on its way.
“This is a fantastic start,” says Reinoud Blom, COO of Mega Windforce. “After years of development and testing, it is now all about bringing the technology to market. Our focus is on completing this round so that we can take that step.”
WhisperRing is distinguished by its patented ring-shaped architecture, a new approach to wind energy that benefits both small and large turbines. Mega Windforce is now focused on production preparation, further industrialization and the commercial rollout of the WR20kW, designed for microgrids, off-grid sites and behind-the-meter applications.
The new funding will finance the construction and validation of the commercial WR20kW prototype, the subsequent preproduction series, certification and preparations for scalable manufacturing. Mega Windforce expects to start production and delivery of the WR20kW in 2028.
Private investors can participate from €500 through Eyevestor and receive certificates representing an economic interest in Mega Windforce.
The investment round runs through Eyevestor. There you will find the full proposition, the terms and the documents.
