Mega Windforce, Gimas and Baltico have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore the development of an advanced CFRP manufacturing facility.
The partnership combines Baltico’s carbon fibre technology, Gimas’ industrial manufacturing expertise and Mega Windforce’s patents that will redefine wind turbine technology.
The initial focus will be on components for Mega Windforce’s innovative WhisperRing wind turbine, with significant potential for CFRP applications in other industries where low weight and high strength create competitive advantages.
Mega Windforce is progressing with its prototype, targeted for completion by the end of 2026. Locations in Türkiye and Malta are currently under consideration for the future production facility.
The MoU marks an important step towards combining innovative wind technology, advanced carbon manufacturing and industrial scale production.
Mega Windforce is a Dutch technology company and the developer of the WhisperRing wind turbine. The company focuses on affordable, local and scalable wind energy. Its innovative technology is protected by two patents and is developed in the Netherlands, in collaboration with specialized European technology and manufacturing partners.
Gimas is a Türkiye based industrial manufacturing company with extensive experience in producing large, heavy and complex components to demanding tolerances. Its advanced production facilities and engineering capabilities serve international customers across multiple industrial sectors.
Baltico specialises in advanced Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer technology and manufacturing processes. Its expertise enables the development of lightweight, high strength components for applications where conventional materials reach their technical or economic limits.
